Combination Ingredients for the Dry Mix: Using a big basin, thoroughly mix the flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking powder.
3
Wet Ingredients: Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla essence to the dry ingredients, along with the wet components. Combine and blend until smooth.
4
Boil Water: Bring one cup of water to a boil.
6
Pour in Boiling Water: Stir the batter until it's smooth, then gradually pour in boiling water. Expect the batter to be thin.
7
Optional additions: If you would like, mix in chopped nuts or chocolate chips.
8
Bake: Assemble the cake pans and pour the batter into them equally. As soon as a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, bake for 30 to 35 minutes in a preheated oven.
9
Cool and Frost: Let cakes set in the pans for ten minutes, then move them to a wire rack to finish cooling before frosting. Cool, and then frost with your preferred icing.
